LCC Latrobe Valley Special Investigation (1987)

This report contains the full text of the Land Conservation Council's final recommendations for the Latrobe Valley Special Investigation. These provide an ongoing framework for use of public land in the Latrobe Valley, subject to subsequent Government decisions. The recommendations in the text have been edited to reflect government variations and amendments at the time of approval, and subsequent changes.

Overview

The report text has been edited to incorporate government decisions on the recommendations made by Order in Council dated 12 April 1988, and subsequent formal amendments.

The recommendations are grouped under major headings, such as Flora and Fauna Reserves, Bushland Reserves, Recreation, State forest and so on. Key recommendations include uses for the surplus land of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria such as flora and fauna reserves, recreation, softwood production and state forest.

Note that recommendation B1 was revoked in 1994, and recommendations G3, H4 - H6, H9, H10, h12 - H40 and part D4 were revoked in 1995.
