Overview

The River Red Gum Forests Investigation commenced in April 2005 and the final report was released in July 2008. The final report contains complete details of the Investigation including all recommendations for public land use, details of public consultations, and implications of the recommendations.

The investigation area includes public land in Victoria from Lake Hume to the South Australian border and includes the lower reaches of the Avoca, Loddon, Campaspe, Goulburn, King, Ovens and Kiewa Rivers.

The Victorian Government response to each of the VEAC recommendations was tabled in Parliament in March 2009.
