Previous VEAC Assessments & Advice

In 2016 the Victorian Environmental Assessment Council Act was amended to establish a process by which the Minister may request VEAC to conduct assessments or to provide advice, in addition to being requested to carry out investigations. The amended Act allows VEAC to provide advice or carry out assessments on matters that, because of their limited scale or scope or their technical nature, might not require an investigation under the provisions of the Act.

Submissions may not be required for assessments or advice, depending on the specific terms of reference. Requests and reports must be tabled and made available to the public. If recommendations are made a government response must be prepared.
