LCC Stradbroke Area Special Investigation (1977)

This report contains the full text of the Land Conservation Council's final recommendations for the Stradbroke Special Investigation within the South Gippsland Area District 1. These provide an ongoing framework for use of public land in the Stradbroke Study Area, subject to subsequent government decisions. The recommendations in the text have been edited to reflect government variations and amendments at the time of approval, and subsequent changes.

Overview

The report text has been edited to incorporate government decisions on the recommendations made by Order in Council dated 4 September 1979 and 4 December 1979, and subsequent formal amendments.

The recommendations are grouped under major headings, such as Softwood Production, Flora and Fauna Reserve, Scenic Reserve, Recreation and so on. Key recommendations are for Softwood Production and the Stradbroke Flora and Fauna Reserve.
